THE REAL MARAVILLOSO POETRY & FICTION CONTEST
Deadline: September 4, 2010
The Real Maravilloso contest wants to see your best magic realist work. We'll also accept surrealist, mythological and symbolist work. NO vampires, shapeshifters or wolves please—unless you've come up with something utterly astounding.
The entry fee is a mere 4.00 dollars. We try to keep costs low for writers while also affording the submission manager, the print-anthology and website costs.
Both the fiction and poetry winners collect 40% of the contest's earnings (payable to PayPal), in addition to being printed as a winner in the Caper Literary Journal year-end anthology. The winners also receive a free copy of Caper's Haiti relief project, "Vwa: Poems for Haiti." Lastly, the winners receive mention on the front-page.
There will be one runner-up in each category. They will also be printed in the anthology.
2500 word limit (at most!)
